Urban Debate League Gains Two Lead Partners

The Urban Debate League (UBDL) is clearly at a critical stage. There is overwhelming demand for their services and they are on the brink of expansion. This is precisely why George Dow and Mark Raderstorf are so excited to work with UBDL as co-Lead Partners. “All the parts are there! They just need guidance.”
Both look forward to working with Executive Director, Amy Cram Helwich, and her team at Augsberg College to develop a strategic plan that moves the organization from tactical to strategic, sustainable growth. George recognizes they cannot do it alone, and the help of SVP Partners and resources will be required.
“It will take a village to develop the strategic plan and I look forward to pulling that village together,” he said.
Indeed Mark and George are poised to do so with George’s executive coaching background, and facilitation skills, paired with Mark’s experience growing his own business. Mark specifically looks forward to mentoring Amy throughout the process, since he relates to her position well.
“I want her to enjoy the ride of organizational growth rather than feel like the organization is driving her,” he said.
With their complimentary skill sets, and excitement for the organization they hope to see UBDL with a strategic plan, diversified board, continued growth, and a strong relationship with SVP. Ask them what they love about UDBL and they’ll both tell you it is the life skills the kids learn, and the confidence they gain from being in the program. Be sure to catch up with Mark and George, and learn more about UBDL at our next partner meeting.
