Engaged Philanthropist Award

Minnesota Community Foundation and Social Venture Partners Minnesota are co-sponsors of the Engaged Philanthropist Award.

Purpose of the Engaged Philanthropist Award

The purpose of the Engaged Philanthropist Award is to recognize and promote Minnesota’s most innovative and effective engaged philanthropists and to further promote philanthropy in Minnesota.

The winner may designate a cash award of $2,500 to the 501(c)3 organization or his or her choice. The winner also receives a commemorative plaque. In addition, a brief video highlighting the winner’s work will be shown at the Engaged Philanthropy Conference.

Deadline for submitting nominations is 5:00 pm CST, May 18, 2012.

The Nomination and Selection Process

We seek nominations from nonprofit and foundation leaders, academics working in the field of nonprofit management, public policy leaders, financial advisors, and business leaders. A panel of judges with broad and deep experience in philanthropy and community service will select the winner from among the nominees. The winner will receive their award at the Engaged Philanthropy Conference.
