We hope you had a wonderful holiday season, and we wish you a healthy and happy 2023! 20 Stories for 20 Years We wanted to continue sharing our “20 Stories for 20 Years” campaign that we started last fall in celebration of SVP MN’s 20th Anniversary. Here is a story from Linda Bryant who is currently the Director of Programs & Services at NorthPoint Health & Wellness Center in North Minneapolis. Linda also is a SVP Board Member Story and Photo: Humans of Minneapolis SEEKING PARTICIPANTS FOR YOUTH-LED GRANTMAKING TASK FORCE (PAID) Social Venture Partners MN is a grant-making organization that supports youth development organizations in the Twin Cities with funding and capacity building project support. SVP MN is launching a NEW grant-making process where young people take the lead to research, design and award grants to local youth-serving organizations. We are looking for 6-8 young people (ages 18-24) who can commit to attend 6 meetings in February and March 2023 to engage in this innovative process. Meetings will be held on Thursdays February 16, February 23, March 2, March 16, March 23 and March 30 from 5:30- 7:00pm. Community Events Graze 4 Good is a one-of-a-kind fundraiser that pairs our vibrant local food community with the emerging philanthropists of the Minneapolis Foundation’s Fourth Generation program. All event proceeds will support Fourth Generation’s grant making to nonprofits that advance education equity in Minneapolis and the greater metro area. Choose from three unique events featuring local restaurants and food entrepreneurs. Each event is sure to deliver awesome flavors and food for thought inspired by exclusive conversations with local community and civic leaders.
